Filtronic have a large range of Solder Fume Extraction Solutions.

Bench Mountable Soldering Iron Tip Extraction
Floor Mounted Solder Fume Extraction
Solder Fume Extraction on Castors
Large Capacity Solder Fume Extraction
Solder Fume Cabinet

These Solder Fume Extraction systems avoid the cost or need to design and install a central solder fume extraction system, which can be expensive and cause disruption.

Other advantages of a these solder fume extraction solutions is obvious, when redesigning the work area or need to move the extraction system to the job.

The requirements for solder fume extraction may vary due to the layout of the production area, the budget, quantity of work stations and type of soldering, below are different solutions, click on the image to go to the product in our product catalogue.

Bench Mountable Soldering Iron Tip Extraction

Portable Solder Fume Extractor Tip CA

The FT12 is a bench mountable portable solder fume extractor
Compressed Air is Required

Portable Solder Fume Extractor Tip
The FT12PF is a bench mountable portable solder fume extractor
Compressed Air is not Required

Solder Fume Tip Extraction Clip On Kit

Both these systems are designed to be placed on the workbench using a soldering iron tip extraction kit

The advantage of the FT12 is the size and cost.
A perfect solution for small soldering jobs. Avoid the cost and disruption of installing a central solder fume extraction system.
Compressed Air is required to run this Solder Fume Extraction system.

The FT12PF it not as cheap as it has a built in motor.
This has all the advantages of the FT12 but with the built in motor this system does not need compressed air.

2 work stations can be connected to these systems.

The disadvantage of Soldering Iron Tip Extraction can be the need for maintenance.
The tip extraction tube will become blocked and needs to be cleared periodically.
Not very suitable for heavy soldering applications as this maintenance can then become a problem.
With certain soldering applications the extraction nozzle and tubing can become an obstruction.

Floor Mounted Solder Fume Extraction

The Tiger Portable Solder Fume Extractor.

This Solder Fume Extractor is place on the floor next to the work bench, flexible extraction arms connect to the system with an extraction nozzle placed alongside or next the the work piece.

A small relatively light system, no obstruction from pipes or tubes on the soldering iron, quiet operation, a cheap protable solder fume extraction solution.

A trolley is available for this solder fume extractor, easy to relocate for short soldering tasks or soldering away from the bench.

Solder Fume Extraction on Castors

The MG140 is a slightly larger solder fume extractor.
The size is increased to house the larger filter system.
A 3 stage filter system, pre-filter, dust filter and gas filter.
The gas filter is larger than the other systems shown, this extends the filter life resulting in a low cost of ownership.

This system is also very quiet, fitted with lockable castors as standard, a very portable solder fume extraction system.

This system suits heavy soldering applications, either using large quantities of solder wire or for long shifts.
The low maintenance - long filter life suits a demanding application, high up time low cost.

Large Capacity Solder Fume Extraction

The MG400 is capable of connection up to eight 60 mm fume extraction arms or two CBC-A fume extraction cabinets.

A cost effective solution for many soldering stations.

The FC800 is a soldering iron tip extraction system for up to 30 soldering irons. 5 solder fume tip extraction can be connected directly to the unit.

Solder Fume Cabinet

The CBC-A Fume cabinet is a good solution for solder fume extraction.

2 solder fume extractors or connected to a large capacity solder fume extractor, this fume cabinet allows the operator to work freely, not pipes connected to the soldering iron and no fume extraction arms causing an obstruction.

The cabinet creates an air curtain, removing the solder fumes into the cabinet away from the operator.
